Stacey Abrams headed the group receiving a $1.9 billion federal grant
Abrams advised one member of a five-organization coalition. She did not lead the grant recipient, and the evidence did not show that she personally received the grant funds.

Recruiting had already improved during fiscal 2024 and Biden’s final months. The improvement could not all be attributed to policies introduced after January 2025.
Inflation-adjusted output per person is much higher today. Historical growth also reflected labor, technology and investment; the coincidence of tariffs and growth does not establish the asserted causal explanation.
SSA stated that the cited records were Social Security number records without a recorded date of death and were “not necessarily receiving benefits.” The SSA inspector general found 18.9 million numberholders born in 1920 or earlier without death information, but said almost none were receiving SSA payments; about 44,000 were in payment status at the review date, a group that includes some legitimate centenarians and cases requiring review. The database issue is real; the assertion that 1.3 million 150-year-olds were receiving benefits is not.
The $5,000 figure came from an outside proposal: if DOGE produced $2 trillion of savings, 20% distributed among roughly 79 million federal-income-tax-paying households would be about $5,000 per household. Trump endorsed considering the concept but did not say checks had been approved. No law appropriated a 2025 DOGE dividend, and no such checks were issued.
Zelenskyy distinguished aid received in Ukraine from the larger U.S. appropriation, which included spending elsewhere. That was not an admission that half the assistance had disappeared.
Ukrainian law bars elections under martial law during the invasion. The assertion omitted that legal and wartime context and the obstacles to conducting a national vote.
Russia launched the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022 after massing troops at Ukraine’s borders. Ukraine did not initiate that invasion.
The unedited transcript showed that the differing broadcast excerpts came from the same response. Editing for length did not establish the alleged substitution from an unrelated part of the interview.
Spending records identified subscription purchases by agencies under both parties’ administrations. They did not substantiate a payoff for partisan news coverage.
OECD comparisons vary by level and method. The U.S. spends above average and especially heavily on tertiary education, but several countries spend more at K-12 levels. U.S. students are not last: in PISA 2022 they scored above the OECD average in reading and science and near the average in math. See the OECD U.S. Education at a Glance 2024 note and OECD PISA 2022 U.S. note.
Any fentanyl shipment is consequential, and northern-border seizures later rose from a very small base. But in FY2024 CBP seized 43 pounds of fentanyl at the northern border versus 21,148 pounds at the southwest border—about 0.2% as much in the northern total. The order’s language omitted that scale difference. Seizures are not identical to total flow, but they are the principal official border measure and do not support portraying Canada as a central source comparable to Mexico.
The statement conflated distinct hiring initiatives. The discontinued assessment had not been reinstated, and Trump himself had continued or expanded other disability-related hiring efforts.
Officials did not produce evidence of the asserted allocation. The contractor identified by the State Department said its U.S.-funded Gaza work did not procure or distribute condoms.
FEMA described eligibility notices to roughly 740 households, with time to move, rather than the asserted mass immediate expulsion. Periodic eligibility reviews also occurred under earlier administrations.
The latest annual goods-and-services figure available for the claim was roughly $41 billion. Even the larger goods-only deficit, about $72 billion, fell far short of the assertion.
Its lengthy report, transcripts and supporting records remained publicly available. Not releasing every interview video did not mean all evidence was destroyed.
The death total is overstated (see IMM-016). Fentanyl from Mexico is a dominant source of the U.S. illicit supply, but CBP data show the great majority of southwest-border fentanyl seizures occur at legal ports of entry, frequently in vehicles driven by U.S. citizens—not in the possession of migrants crossing between ports. Seizure shares are not a complete census of undetected trafficking, so the careful conclusion concerns the observed enforcement data, not every successful shipment.
Roughly three dozen countries provide citizenship based on birthplace without the parental-status restriction implied by the claim.
Panama’s canal authority operates the canal. A Hong Kong-based company’s port operations at either end did not amount to Chinese operation of the waterway.
The historian consulted by FactCheck.org estimated fewer than 1,000 American deaths. His estimate of roughly 7,600 deaths during the U.S. construction phase included many workers from other countries; it was not a count of Americans.
Philadelphia officials said they knew of no factual basis for the allegation. Pennsylvania certified Trump as the winner and later reported that two required audits confirmed the results. See Pennsylvania’s certification and audit announcement.
Trump’s April 2025 ABC interviewer accurately noted that “the original promise was $2 trillion, went to $1 trillion”; Trump answered by claiming $150 billion saved. DOGE’s final Wall of Receipts update was January 1, 2026, and GAO reported $110 billion in claimed contract, grant, and lease savings as of July 7, 2026, with significant verification problems. Even DOGE’s broader claimed total was far below $2 trillion.
County officials were reviewing roughly 2,500 voter-registration applications for possible irregularities; these were not votes or ballots. Officials had not concluded that all applications were fraudulent. Pennsylvania explains the distinction between registration claims and ballots in its election-claim guide.
In FY2024, individual income taxes produced roughly $2.4 trillion while customs duties produced about $77 billion. Replacing income-tax revenue at unchanged import levels would require an arithmetically enormous average tariff; in practice, the tax base would shrink as imports fell and prices and supply chains adjusted. The exact effects depend on policy details that were not supplied.
DHS OIG identified serious case-management and safety-assurance gaps, but it did not report 325,000 missing children or those outcomes. It found more than 32,000 children failed to appear for immigration hearings and that, as of May 2024, ICE had not issued Notices to Appear to more than 291,000. The audit period was FY2019-FY2023, spanning both administrations. Failure to issue paperwork or appear in court does not establish that a child is missing, dead, or trafficked.
The application’s relevant function allowed people in central or northern Mexico to request limited appointments at legal ports of entry. Applicants submitted biographical information and a photograph, appeared at a port, and underwent inspection and screening. An appointment did not guarantee admission, asylum, or release. Smugglers could exploit information about any border process, but that does not make cartel coordination the app’s function.
Even a deliberately expansive count was roughly half the claim: about 7.1 million southwest-border apprehensions between ports through September 2024, about 1.2 million encounters at legal ports without prior authorization, and an estimated 2 million “gotaways.” Encounter totals include repeat attempts and do not mean everyone was admitted. DHS processing data cited by FactCheck.org showed about 2.9 million removals/returns and 3.2 million releases or other dispositions. A defensible estimate of the number who entered and remained is substantially below 21 million.
The Executive Office for Immigration Review reported hundreds, not thousands, of immigration judges nationwide (FactCheck.org counted 725 at the time); they are not all stationed at the border. Other countries maintain asylum adjudication and appeal systems under domestic law and the Refugee Convention framework. Procedures differ, but the asserted U.S.-only system is wrong.
Aurora had real gang members, arrests, violence, and serious disorder at several distressed properties. City and police officials nevertheless said the gang had not taken over the city and described its influence as isolated. Later enforcement tied multiple suspects to TdA and the city pursued closure of troubled buildings, so “nothing happened” would also be inaccurate. “Invaded and conquered” converted documented criminal activity in a small area into a claim of citywide or institutional control.
